John Mockridge
Born in Newport, Gwent in 1923, John came to the Westcountry at the age of two and now lives in the Tamar Valley. He is accused by many of not having a recognisable style as his every work is a new experiment in oil, acrylic, watercolour, boat paint or tar (in any combination). Subjects vary from industrial, marine, railway, landscape and abstract.
But his best work does not fall into any pigeon hole.
John has yet to decide what he will do when he grows up!
