The Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) was designated in 1995. Its rare valley and water landscape, unique wildlife resource and remarkable heritage makes it an area that merits special recognition and protection.

Devon Artsculture is a dynamic and creative arts development programme offering visibility, opportunity and growth for creative practitioners working throughout the rural areas of Devon. It aims to have real impact for artists, musicians and those in the craft sector by being a resource, a guide, a facilitator.
The Drawn to the Valley project brings together artists from across the Tamar Valley area, including Plymouth. Their aims are to promote art within the area for the benefit of both the public and the artists by putting on a series of exhibitions and an Open Studios event. It is hoped that the project will help contribute to the wider regeneration of the local economy and to the promotion of the Tamar Valley as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The CoaST Project Network has been created by the CoaST Project. The network provides the opportunity for an association of organisations and individuals committed to the successful development of sustainable tourism in Cornwall to exchange ideas, knowledge and expertise.
